Hidden Spa

To preserve the historic integrity of this Soulard landmark, we grew downward rather than outward to create an intimate day spa. This project utilized complex structural stabilization to excavate a quiet, subterranean sanctuary for treatment rooms, hiding a modern wellness retreat within a traditional alley-house shell.
