Conversation Piece

The goal of this piece was to create performative jewelry. I looked at the geometries of a shoe sole which transform their shape to support your feet and thought how those shapes could be applied to one’s neck to support their vocal chords. This device is to be applied by those who have a fear of conversation. The small nodes of the device rest on specific points in the larynx and can correct and comfort speech in times of distress.
