Seattle is going through a great deal of changes. Not only is there about one house demolished everyday but there are also many vacant homes that are currently being illegally squatted in, which is a smaller bit to the larger issue of homelessness in the Pacific Northwest. We Discovered this house in a very murky and precarious situation, squatters, drugs, family issues and began to reach out to not only artists to help investigate the latent issues here but also social activists to discuss issues of homelessness and mental health as well. The house went from a neighborhood blight to a space for creativity and dialogue while not glossing over the issues at hand but confronting them head on.
